My final project will be revolving around the coronavirus pandemic many photographers have been documenting the pandemic as it it affects the entire country. I have researched a few of these photographers in order to help inspire my own project.
Peter Marley has captured Belfast in lockdown, his ongoing project ‘Sociable Distance’ is a series of portarits that he describes as “a time capsule of this unusual period in which we find ourselves,” and he hopes to open an exhibit.
Peter said:
“I’ve been making portraits with friends, neighbours and strangers, all from a responsible distance, and it has been a great way to stay connected to a community whilst documenting the much quieter streets of Belfast”.
“Everything like shopping has gone from a daily convenience to a weekly extravagance.
“There is an undercurrent of concern and worry but beyond that people are generally looking out for each other,”
